Get Reports in .CSV format

Would it be possible to have a the option added to export/receive reports in a CSV format?

Currently the PDF and HTML formats are a bit limited if you want to do any in-depth data analysis.

Hi Jason,

Right now, the only way to get raw data out is through the API (https://support.panorama9.com/hc/en-us/articles/203568718-Getting-asset-data-out-of-Panorama9 and http://developer.panorama9.com). The reports usually show heavily massaged data so depending on your needs, you may have to do some post-processing on the API extract to get what you want. API access is freely available for every account.

Also note that the HTML version of the reports use tables to make it easy to copy/paste information out - that may also work for you.

Going forward, depending on the level of interest, we may look at making some tools available to make data extraction (to CSV or others) easier to do. It's not on the roadmap right now though.

Hi Jan,

Thats brilliant, I wasn't actually aware of the API being publicly accessible or the developer P9 site. I will take a look at these as they will provide a much more flexible alternative to CSV outputs.

I did find the HTML outputs allowed me to copy and paste, but the idea was to compile an automated report for management so they could create the various pivot tables they like to see! It should be easy enough to do that now with the API.

Thanks again!
